Fitness and Boxing Photo Shoot with Sam

Agency represented (Swagger Management) model Sam came down from Toronto to work with me a couple of weeks ago. We split the day between Powerhouse Training Systems and Warriors Boxing and Fitness.  I've worked with Sam a couple of times before in Toronto and he always brings a great enthusiasm to the shoot as well as a killer physique and work ethic.

Sunday Sparring at Warrior's Boxing and Fitness

Boxing in the GTA

United Promotions Boxing put on another show at the Hershey Centre Saturday night. I got to see lots of friends there including two of them facing off in the ring and fighting to a draw. It was a good night of fights which saw Ryan Young capture the Canadian Super Welterweight Championship. Photographing ringside is really great and is the best "seat" in the house. I tried a couple of different lenses and settings on Saturday and really enjoyed the results.

Warriors' Boxing

I went down to Warriors Boxing last week to shoot some sparring and workouts. Warriors is always a great place to photograph in. Rob Caron is very welcoming. It is a lot of fun to go to the local boxing clubs and shoot, you get to meet a lot different people.

Promo Shoot with 3 Lions Promotions

I went down to Hamilton recently to shot promotional pictures for 3 Lions Promotions for there upcoming show on October 1st. Detroit Brawl

On Saturday Feb 6th, I got to go over to Detroit to catch some boxing at the beautiful and historic Masonic Temple. The show was put on by Salita Promotions. It was a good action packed card with lots of local flavour. A really nice touch was the promoter, Dimitri Salita came over and spoke to everyone in the media section after the fights, a real class act. I love shooting fights in Detroit, it is a special, crazy atmosphere in the Motor City. Below are some of the good ones I captured.

It was my first international publication and I can't wait to get my copy in print. I really proud of the work we did together with just a couple of speedlights. April is a fantastic model who's been published internationally both for her modelling and her photographs.

Ring Royalty recently sponsored a fighter out of Black Eye Boxing in Brantford, Winston, aka, Jus Win and wanted to get some shot of him in gear. Ring Royalty is a great support of fighters everywhere. Winston is the hardest working guy in the gym, no quit, no complaints and no mercy in the ring. Winston was great to shoot with and I look forward to shooting with him again.
